Lex Talks Food

Objective

Lex Talks Food was the final project created for my Typography I class for the Integrated Design MA program at University of Baltimore. The objective was to create a cookbook cover and recipes using the the design principles of using a grid to create a clean, cohesive layout and implementing skills learned when working with type.

Process

Lex Talks Food was name after my food centric Instagram account and the recipes covered are Shrimp Scampi and Cauliflower Mac ’n’ Cheese. Both recipes are ones that I’ve cooked over the years and adapted the recipes as needed. I also cooked each dish for the recipe spreads, styled each dish, photographed, and edited the images to ensure they were visually appealing and appetizing to the viewer. The target audience is geared towards millennials looking for simple, easy dishes to incorporate in their arsenal of meals.
