Bite Magazine

Objective

The final project in my Magazine Design class at University of Baltimore was to design a lifestyle magazine that was tailored to my interests. I had to focus on both the look and feel of the magazine, a specific demographic to target, and write and edit my own copy for the final product. I decided to create Bite Magazine - a food and lifestyle publication for millennials trying to figure out how to incorporate cooking while navigate “adulting”. This issue of Bite is the “Work/Life Balance” edition, and the main article “Perfect Host - Quick and easy dishes your friends are sure to love” has 3 recipes to help the reader have throw a nice get together with friends. Each recipe is something that I’ve cooked and adapted on my own; so I prepared each dish and drink for my own photoshoot to incorporate in the final spread.

Process

I had to focus on both the look and feel of the magazine, a specific demographic to target, and write and edit my own copy for the final product. Each recipe is something that I’ve cooked and adapted on my own; so I prepared each dish and drink in the recipe article for my own photoshoot to incorporate in the final spread. I also photographed the models shown for this article and edited the images to be print ready. I also had to research and source additional images to be used throughout the magazine.
